Jackie Busbee was raised on a dairy farm in Cope, South Carolina. After high school, Jackie attended Clemson University and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She then went on to earn her Juris Doctor Degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1989.

In 1990, Jackie married Doug Busbee of Wagener, SC, and began practicing law in Aiken, SC. Jackie spent six years focusing on real estate transactions, both residential and commercial, and gained quite a bit of experience in business formation as well. In addition to these areas, Jackie developed a great deal of experience in personal law such as wills and general estate planning.

Jackie often serves as a court-appointed Guardian Ad Litem in private custody cases as well as DSS cases. In 1995, Jackie started her own private practice in Wagener. Besides being the only practicing attorney in Wagener, Jackie is also very active in the community. She serves on the board of Churches Together for Kids, coaches softball, and is very active at Wagener First Baptist Church.

Doug and Jackie Busbee have two children, Ethan and Brielle.
